Class Description

Learn all about composting from dedicated Master Gardener Composters. You will be given instruction in both the science and the art of making compost, and be given the opportunity to hone your own personal teaching skills.

On the second day of the class students will be asked to give a prepared 10-15 minute presentation on a topic of their choice. More information about the guidelines and options for this presentation will be provided in class.

After the class is completed, class participants are expected to serve 10 hours of volunteer time in the next 12 months in the area of compost education in order to receive the Master Composter Advanced Training certification.
